Photography Tour

Join me for this whirlwind photography tour of some of Iceland’s “greatest hits” as well as several off the beaten path locations.  Starting at Keflavik airport just west of Reykjavik, we will drive along the entire south coast, go part way up the east coast,  and then cut inland to the north. Bird photography will be a major emphasis , but we will also spend a significant amount of time on scenics.

A detailed itinerary is available upon request but here are some of the locations we will visit along the way : 

Waterfalls : Seljalandfoss, Gljúfrabúi, Skógafoss, Svartifoss, Godafoss
Mountains : Vestrahorn, Eystrahorn
Other Scenics : Reynisfjara Beach, Dyrhólaey, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Beach, Námafjall geothermal area
Bird Hot Spots : Djúpivogur (migration stopover), Mývatn (waterfowl), Grímsey Island (a million seabirds, including puffins!), Hrísey Island (ptarmigan nesting area)
